How exciting to see ADORE Events featured in Style Me Pretty today!!   We are honored and thrilled to have worked such a beautiful wedding with a fabulous group of vendors!!   I have to say how wonderful this family and their friends were too.  Our bride, Samantha, was so flexible with any suggestions and was overall happy and relaxed the whole weekend.  The wedding party was ready and available for all responsibilities to the Bride and Groom that day, and they did it with a smile.  What beautiful photos they made.  Thank you to Dustin from Sunglow Photography for being so great to work with and capturing the amazing images!!

Branding your Wedding

April 6, 2012

This week I posted about Dana and Daniel’s Wedding on their Ranch.  From the beginning of their planning process Dana was great about BRANDING their Wedding to be customized into ‘their’ day.  From the little details to the most obvious ones, she created a look that fit perfectly to the style of the wedding and to their relationship as a couple.

Branding your names, creating a logo, or even a specific look that signifies it’s about you as a couple will allow your guest to leave the day saying “that was a wedding all about them!”   Here are a few things DC2 came up with!   How creative was Dana?!  See if you can count how many different ways she used their branding name.

All though it was a year ago, we still love this wedding:  The style, the colors, the Ranch/Southern style, and the happy couple!

To share the ‘beauty’ of the details, today we are highlighting specific parts of the wedding day and to talk about several vendors involved.

The Ceremony:
All Rentals and Design were created by Christy at PartyTime Rentals!  Stunning chandeliers hanging from the trees.  How perfectly ‘natural’ they look hanging outside as if they were supposed to be there all along!

The aisle:
The Alter was made by the bride and groom but the floral creation was by Susan at the Event Divas.  What a creation to add to the aisle (in addition to the hanging hydrangea) to help create a mood that was so inviting.

The Door:
These doors remained closed, until the entrance of the Family and Bridal Party.  They were closed back and reopened for the grand entrance of the Bride.  You CAN have a grand entrance at an outside ceremony.

Cocktail hour was a comfortable setting for all ages filled with high tops, lounge seating and games for big kids.

Upon meeting with Susan (Event Divas) about the floral, she had creations in her mind on how to incorporate her ideas to what PartyTime created within the setup.  Both came together beautifully!

Happy Anniversary to DC2

April 3, 2012

Happy 1 Year Anniversary to Daniel and Dana!!   This time last year we were so energized from Planning the wedding for this fun loving couple!  Getting to know their family was the icing on the cake!  And trust me-  This wedding is worth reading about!!  So  many fun details!

Here’s a few I can share:

When Dana and her mom came to me about Coordinating the wedding, we totally connected at the first consultation meeting.  I think I even had to pull the tissue box out!  They shared with me some stories about their family that helped me to take care of them completely on their wedding day.

Then we talked about the location:  Their beautiful Ranch.  And how to incorporate all the fun ideas they had into one.  They had done so much planning already I was excited to help them complete it with a couple more vendors and to run the day so they could completely enjoy it.  I can’t wait to share more photos about this in upcoming blogs!

No wedding is perfect without a few snafu’s- Nothing major of course!  But one of the best things about being a Planner is fixing the “Pop-ups” on spot!  All though I could not put the rain back in the sky for them…. and by rain I mean torrential downpour!….  the setup crew and designers were able to complete their job in perfect time!   I could not have been more pleased with this wedding and how everything came together!

Please please check back tomorrow to see a detailed list of vendors and their individual project!!

For now, I’ll share a few of the amazing photos by Jason Cannon of Cannonfire Photography!!

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY DC2 from ADORE Events!

Summer Wedding Tips

March 21, 2012

We may still be in Spring Wedding Season, but if you are planning a Summer Wedding you’ll want to think about a few ideas to keep up with the heat!

Summer Tips by Anna

Summer is fast approaching in Florida, but don’t let the heat stop you from having your dream wedding. There are plenty of ways to beat the heat and have your perfect wedding in the middle of July or August. Summer is the perfect time to embrace those light and fun colors for décor, bridesmaids dresses, and flowers. Colors such as light greens, yellows, and oranges pop against a sunny blue sky and laying fresh fruit and vegetables around center pieces and on buffet tables can add a special fun touch that can be either elegant or casual.

Planning a wedding on the beach? Summer and the beach are so closely associated with one another that no one will miss the theme. Avoid sand by holding the ceremony and reception on a gazebo or a resort overlooking the bright blue ocean. Even a boat or cruise wedding is a great way to stick to a beach theme. Include a unity sand ceremony and use natural sea shells and blue tones in decorations to tie it all together.

Remember, Florida weather can go from sunny to rainy and back to sunny in a matter of minutes so have a back-up plan! Give out small umbrellas as bridesmaids and groomsmen gifts or fun, labeled bottles of sun screen to guests. Beat the heat by holding the ceremony during sunset or early evening and keep the ceremony short and sweet. Remind guests to wear lighter clothing that is appropriate for both the wedding and the weather.

Last but not least, sending out Save-the-Dates is more important for summer weddings because the season is prime vacation time, especially for families with school-aged children.

Here’s a few fun styles to use for a Summer wedding with bright colors:
