Drew and Patty’s engagement

December 29, 2009

With the end of the year coming we have some catching up to do from our big launch of ADORE.  We would like to announce our first new clients who signed on with the new changes of Adore two months ago, Drew and Patty!!  When we first met this sweet couple we could tell how in love they are.  Patty and Drew are college sweethearts, both attending UF and are looking forward to bringing their families to Gainesville to have their wedding at The Family Church and reception at The Hilton.

Check out their engagement photos by Jimmy Ho Photography.  When they told me they hired Jimmy to take their engagement and wedding photography I new it was a great match for them.  Thanks for sharing these great photos Jimmy!  And Congratulations Drew and Patty!!  I love working with you!

Today I wanted to see what Martha has to say about Christmas cookies and I found a few super FUN things to be creative with during the holidays.

Don’t forget, when you are creating your special treat, to upload a photo to Martha’s Cookie Contest page.  Where you can also see what others have posted of their unique cookies.  My favorite is the “melting snowmen.”

How FUN to hear “Santa” and the “Solutions elves” come in our office singing Christmas music.  Thanks for spreading Christmas CHEER Solutions Bridal!!  We must have been “nice” this year.

Wow!  What a week!!  As we blogged about a couple weeks ago, ADORE was asked by Ark Remodeling and Construction to be a part of the Extreme Makeover Home Edition in Gainesville this past week and what an amazing adventure it was!  Here are a few highlights from the week!

11137_1264179614825_1539797471_675390_7601831_nDay 1: Right after the “Braveheart” Walk where all the builders and team walked up to the house to see the family and surprise them.  And we learned a little about how the production crew makes it all happen.

DSCN0882(rev 0)Amazing volunteers and builders coming together to work tirelessly, even in the rain.

DSCN0925(rev 0)“Move that bus!”  The family is home and excited to see their new house as Ark Remodeling and Construction talks to them about the build.

We were thankful to be a part of it and also had a blast at the Wrap Party we planned for the last night after move that bus.  Thank you to Sharab Lounge for your generous donation to hold the event.  Thanks to Swamp Head Brewery for your generous donation and being a part of the event at the last minute.  The amazing decor by The Event Divas was adored by everyone at the party and we’re so thankful for Susan’s hard work.  A HUGE thanks to Unique Designs for the quick creation of the ‘construction inspired’ design for the wrap party invites!  Check them out!

Wedding Colors and Christmas

December 16, 2009

It’s time for Christmas and all the decorations are up, but you’re wedding is almost here and all you can see is Green and Red.   This year, try to use other winter colors to tie in the Christmas look without having just red and green.  Here’s a few ideas:

-Blue and Silver

-Silver and white with accents of light blue

-Red and Black

-Burgundy and green

-Plum Purple and white or silver

What colors would you try?
