Happy First Christmas and new Years to all my sweet clients!!

Here’s a look back at their beautiful day!

If I was asked what is the most rewarding part about being a Wedding Planner, it would be to know that my clients are “Happy.”  I love hearing from past clients telling me how they are doing and how their family is growing!  A year ago I was thinking about how wonderful my clients Ragan and Jonathan’s Wedding was and what an enjoyable experience it was for them too.  Their wedding turned out just as planned and I may have only changed a couple things, but overall it was a huge success!!  Thanks to an amazing and sweet couple and their family!… and to an awesome team I had for the weekend!

So, Happy Anniversary Ragan and Jonathan!!  And CONGRATULATIONS on welcoming your new baby girl into your family!  Enjoy your first Christmas as a family of 3!

As a Wedding Planner in Gainesville Florida, I love working with so many of my clients who are truly grateful to have me Coordinate their day!    Thank you Alysa for writing such a sweet note to me!  You are forever an ADORE bride!!

Note From Alysa (Bride):

“My wedding day was the most amazing day of my life.  Amy is a star!  I literally glided around all day on cloud 9 while Amy took care of everything.  From the moment I woke up my day was easy.  I did not speak to a wedding vendor all day.  My phone never rang.  Amy prearranged all last minute details leading up to the wedding and day of she was all over it.  I just had to put on make-up and drink champagne.

Now, it is important to note that it poured down rain ALL DAY on my wedding day and we were planning an outdoor ceremony (note again – no vendors called me, no stress!).  The back-up plan was to get married at the reception site, but I had given little to no thought to this because I was sure it wouldn’t rain.  Amy was there assuring me before I had time to worry.  We waited the majority of the day hoping it would clear up, but by the afternoon it was looking grim.  Amy came to see me with 3 alternate plans.  She had drawn up floor plans of my options!  Amy felt as though the reception venue location would not do the wedding ceremony justice and she really wanted me to have the best day possible.  So, she secured the use of the inside of the ceremony venue at no charge to me (we had only rented the garden space which was much less expensive).  She contacted the rental company we were using and gave me new decorating ideas.  How she got a hold of all these people on a Saturday afternoon is still a mystery to me.  I didn’t even know I had these options.  She easily could have let us get married at the reception site and I never would have thought less of her for it.  It’s not her fault it rained, but she went above and beyond to make sure it was every bit as beautiful as I dreamed it would be.

Amy said she would leave me with my options and let me decide, but I just said “I trust you.  Just tell me where to go whenever you make the call.”  She had been so amazing.  I was so sure she would make the right decision.  This took so much stress and pressure of me.  And I was right.  It was inevitable that even if it stopped raining the ground would be too muddy for the ceremony to be outside.  She went to work strategizing with the rental company and worked herself decorating the new ceremony location absolutely perfectly.  When I walked down that aisle I saw my ceremony layout, decorations, everything for the first time!  After a year of planning that is a lot of faith to have in someone else.  And it was beautiful.

Then the reception was so easy for me.  I just talked to my guests and danced and Amy would very unobtrusively whisper to me, “it’s time to cut the cake” or whatever the next event was.  It was like every time I needed her she was there and the other times I didn’t even notice her.  She fixed my bustle, fixed my hair, and refilled my champagne glass.  I was truly a princess for a day, and the best part of it was that my friends and family got to enjoy the party.  If it weren’t for Amy, my maid of honor and my mom would have had to do all that.  Instead, I got to celebrate with the people I loved.

Planners are supposed to deal with vendors and come up with plan B rain arrangements, but what Amy did was more than that.  She really cared about us and our wedding.  She wanted it to be a beautiful memory for me and she wasn’t willing to settle for anything less than fabulous despite the rain.  There are a lot of people who can coordinate with a chair rental company, but there are few people that will put their heart and soul into someone else’s dream.  Amy is an amazing event planner, a very gifted decorator, and above all a really good person.”

A Note from the Mother-of-the-Bride!  :)

“When my daughter began planning her wedding, I did not know much about a wedding coordinator but soon grew to an understanding of how very important that job can be. From the first time I met Amy, she was very professional while also being so personable. She set my daughters mind at ease and made me realize how vital her job really was. My daughters wedding was out of town, having someone who is in contact and personally knows the vendors is an incredible plus. But the set up was just the beginning. When the big day came for our outdoor wedding, it didn’t just rain, it poured. My daughter, her attendants and I spent the day inside having our hair and make-up done, while Amy and her staff handled everything else. When the moment came to make the dreaded decision, Amy had already prepared an alternative. The grounds that were to be used for the ceremony also had an inside facility. Amy had not only procured the site at no charge, but her staff had magically turned an empty room into an incredibly romantic cathedral. The guests had no idea there was ever a problem and the wedding started on time. What could have ruined my daughters perfect day was transformed into the beautiful memories we will have forever. I can honestly say, it is all thanks to Amy.”
