It has been another year of Thanks for me!  I have been blessed with an amazing family, beautiful friends and the best clients and vendors any business owner can ask for.
To each one of my clients, I am thankful not only that you are now ADORE family, but that I can think of you and smile at the planning journey we took together.  Thank you for your trust and many of you for the growing friendships that have been established.
To my  vendor friends- Thank you for your support, love and respect!  Team work is a value that enhances the special day for each of our clients.  I’m thankful to have a talented bunch of vendors a part of my career life.

Details for the Milk and Cookies baby shower on the blog this week:  And fun ideas to work in to the party.

Sign to go out front instead of the traditional “Baby Shower”

Using items to decorate that can also be a gift are “multi-purpose” for the baby shower.  Make sure you’re spelling the name right before purchasing of course  ;)   This one is from Hobby Lobby!

Thanks to The Grande Event, Rental and design company, we were able to find the perfect linens and colors to match the rest of the theme.  By giving the porch setup a little change up it allows guests to have a place to use for transition.

Remember games keep the party going… try a word scramble.  Instead of using basic words like “baby” and “diaper” throw in the moms name or baby’s name.

Very simple side table decor.  Use items that go with the food table or theme of the party in a subtle way

Create an activity for the guests that they mom-to-be can enjoy after the party is over.  Here, each guest had the option of writing an note to the mom OR baby and they will be added to a book with photos from the party given by the hostess.

Another simple Game:  This one has a custom CD made by G-nys Entertainment

Simply create a play list of songs with the name “Baby” in the title
Play the song for 5 seconds or so
Each guest will be able to guess what they think the song is
Play them back when the answers are read and see who gets the most correct.

Major props to Kristy from Posh pastry for this amazing cake!!   All I had to do was send her a photo of a cake I liked and she made it 100 times better!!  It also had COOKIE DOUGH FILLING!!

Also a huge thanks to The Grande Event for all the Linens!!!   The colors worked perfectly!

It’s not often that your competition ends up being a very close friend.  In this case, I was able to plan and host a baby shower for a dear friend and fellow Wedding Planner in Gainesville.   Thank you Melissa for allowing me to host your baby shower!!   We really had a blast putting all the details together!  And most of all, thanks for letting us take over your house!  As planners we know that sometimes plan B can work out even better than plan A…. in this case, NOT being rained on worked out perfect!  Super excited for baby Z’s arrival!
